The Summit County Collaborative against Human Trafficking Event

The Summit County Collaborative against Human Trafficking is sponsoring a FREE Awareness Event in the Highland Square Area in Akron on Saturday, January 23rd from 10am- 2pm.  At the Elms Auditorium, we will have representatives from several local organizations available to answer questions and provide information about this issue, as well as refreshments and raffles from 10:00 am-2:00 pm.  We will have a free screening of the short documentary “Chosen” and hear from a survivor of human trafficking starting at 11:00 am and again at 12:30 pm.  Additionally, from 10:00 am-2:00 pm at the Highland Square Library we will have hands on activities for kids, face painting and a photo booth, as well as information for parents and adults about the issue.
