UPDATE Akron Fire Diving At River Crash Site

Akron Fire Department's Dive Team went back in the river off Weathervane Lane, near the site where a man went missing in February when the car he was driving, owned by his girlfriend, went into the Cuyahoga River.

And the search did NOT recover a body. AFD says dive teams found "trash in trash bags".

Crews were called there on report of an article of clothing in the river, and they got help from crews from Cuyahoga Falls, New Franklin and Macedonia.

In February, the man's girlfriend was a passenger in the car when it went into the river. She got out and called police from a nearby apartment.

She told police her boyfriend swam in the opposite direction, following the current of the river.
