Norton Man Arrested On Child Porn Charges

Police Detectives and the FBI, have arrested a 21-year-old Norton man on several charges including possession of child pornography late last week.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigation into Sam McKown started about three months ago. When McKown was arrested at his Norton home back on January 6th, in addition to child porn, police found a ballistics vest, a police patch, and expandable baton, and handcuffs.

A lawyer for McKown says that those materials were unrelated to the child pornography that was found, that they were given to him as a gift from a family member.

McKown has not been formally indicted yet.

Falls Man Sentenced in Child Porn Ring

A Cuyahoga Falls man was sentenced to 30 years in prison for his part in an online child pornography ring that was run out of Michigan.

According to the report from the U.S. District Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Michigan, 38-year-old Caleb Young was the only Ohioan involved, as federal agents say he and 7 others were posing as teenagers online, coaxing young girls, some as young a 10, to sent videos and pictures of themselves.

Young and the group were operating the child porn ring which yielded more than 450,000 videos and pictures over the course of 5 years.

Springfield PD Makes Kiddie Porn Arrest

A Springfield Township man is being held in the Summit County Jail on child pornography charges after police were alerted someone at his home was downloading kiddie porn. A search warrant executed last Thursday provided evidence for police to arrest 43-year old Brian Heath Davidson at his home on Coach Lane. He's facing pandering felony charges and police say they found even more "explicit content" on other device taken from his home

(Springfield Township Police) On August 3rd, officers with the Springfield Township Police Department, with the assistance of (ICAC) The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, executed a search warrant at 101 Coach Lane in Springfield Township.

The search warrant was obtained after receiving information from the ICAC task force that a subject at this location was downloading child pornography.

After executing the search warrant, officers arrested 43 year old Brian Heath Davidson for Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor, a felony of the third degree. Mr. Davidson is also facing additional charges after discovering more explicit content on several devices seized from his home. Mr. Davidson is currently being held in the Summit County Jail.

Coventry Twp. Man Arrested For Child Pornography

 

After receiving a tip back on August 17th from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Summit County Sheriff's Detective Bureau launched an investigation into the alleged downloading in child pornography in Coventry Township. 

Throughout their investigation, detectives found that Craig J. Provence, 67, had knowingly downloaded inappropriate images and other materials that exploited children. A warrant was issued and the Sheriff's Office executed a search of a residence at Alma Avenue. They seized a computer, CDs and other electronic storage media from the home and placed Provence under arrest. 

He is currently in Summit County Jail, charged with two counts of Pandering Obscenity Involving a Minor, both felonies. Investigators say additional charges could be handed down pending the outcome of the complete investigation.
