14:07 - Veterinarian Dr. Gary Riggs stopped by to answer both Ray’s and listeners’ questions on their pets. Those questions touched on knee/hip/joint issues with dogs, buying a rawhide Christmas present, and a little on dolphins.

Ray Horner Podcast - 11/19/2019

:19 - If an engagement falls apart, who gets to keep the ring, the giver or receiver? Is an engagement ring a gift or a form of a contract? The morning show panel discussed this in great detail.

9:50 - Omar Vizquel’s name appeared on hall of fame ballots for the third time. Will his defense, longevity, and likability propel him to Cooperstown? Bob DiBiasio from the Indians, Omar’s long-time former team, joined the program to discuss Vizquel’s chances.

17:42 - The Browns-Steelers games scheduled for December 1st has been moved up three hours to 1 o’clock game. Is it because the Chiefs and Raiders is a bigger matchup with playoff implications? Probably, but the NFL may be trying to wash their hands of the Myles Garrett-Mason Rudolph situation.

21:46 - To end today’s podcast, Ray shares a few facts on Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple. The television series, that is.

Browns Garrett Appealing Suspension

Browns Defensive End Myles Garrett is appealing his indefinite suspension after Thursday night's on-field fight between him and Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph.

According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, Garrett and his representation may have found a loophole in the League's Collective Bargaining Agreement that doesn't allow indefinite suspensions for on-field acts.

Garrett is the talk of the NFL after he ripped off Rudolph's helmet with just 8 seconds left in Thursday's Browns win over the Steelers, and then clubbed him over the head with it. On Friday the NFL suspended Garrett without pay indefinitely.

Who's Going Sunday?

The Browns-Steelers game to close out the 2015 season has plenty riding on the line: for the Steelers, it's still playoff hopes. For the Browns, it's hopes of the top draft pick and the fate of the front office.

Apparently fans are picking up on this; either Browns fans still want to show the colors, or Steelers fans are taking advantage of ticket availability to cheer on their team in what used to be hostile territory.

In weeks past thousands of tickets -- upwards of four-thousand were online for the San Francisco game --were still available on StubHub.com, some for as low as under $9 apiece. Not so for the season-ender, as the ticket resale website is offering tickets for the Sunday matchup has a litte over one-thousand tickets and prices closer to face value of $50 apiece.

On the official NFL Ticket Exchange site, there are more than 2,200 tickets still available at similar prices.

Given the growth of support for Pittsburgh in northeast Ohio and the fan base only 112 miles away, it's not surprising Steelers Nation is looking to score a ticket here for what used to be a fierce rivalry. These days instead of fights and insults, the Steelers-Browns contests usually draw sympathetic smiles and hangdog responses.

The 1:00 kickoff will be simulcast in Akron on 97.5 WONE and 1590 WAKR. Both stations are owned by Rubber City Radio Group, which also owns WAKR.net.
