Fugitive Found Under Trailer

U.S. Marshals, with the help of other local law enforcement found and arrested this week's Fugitive of the Week, Thomas Kellwood. About 3:30 Tuesday, Kellwood was found hiding under a trailer off of Stratton Road in West Salem. Marshal Pete Elliot said in a release it was tips that brought in Kellwood, who was wanted for assaulting his mother and two other young family members after an argument.

(US Marshal/Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force) This afternoon at approximately 3:30pm, members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, along with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Montville and West Salem Police Departments, and Medina and Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, arrested Thomas Kellwood, 36. Kellwood has been wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Lodi Police Department after he was involved in a domestic dispute.

During the domestic incident Kellwood allegedly assaulted several members of his family, including two children under the age of 16. Yesterday afternoon Kellwood was featured as the Fugitive of the Week. Within hours, numerous tips poured in regarding Kellwood’s possible whereabouts. Early this morning members of the task force began searching the 11100 block of Stratton Rd. in West Salem for Kellwood. Numerous law enforcement agencies, including Ohio State Highway Patrol air unit and special response team and Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit responded to the area, it was believed that Kellwood was hiding in a heavily wooded area.

After a few hours of searching, Kellwood was found hiding under a trailer. He was arrested without further incident and transported to the Medina County jail.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott said, “Tips on this case came into the task force and officers acted immediately, without the strong community cooperation and the excellent partnership with local law enforcement agencies this fugitive may still be on the run."

This week's Fugitive of the Week, courtesy of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is Thomas Kellwood, 36, who's wanted by the U.S. Marshals and Lodi Police on a domestic violence warrant.

Kellwood's alleged to have assaulted several members of his family, including his mother, and 2 children under 16-years-old. Kellwood is listed 5'6", and about 125 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and it possibly in Lodi or Rittman. If you see Kellwood, call 911.
