Akron Police are asking the public's help in identifying a man who robbed a Dollar General employee while the employee was leaving to make a bank deposit. The store is located at 994 Brown St. in Akron. Police say the suspect is a white male, between 25 and 27 years old, with short, light-colored hair. Akron police hope a surveillance video will lead them to an armed robbery suspect.

Police say the Dollar General on South Arlington Street near Arlington Plaza was robbed at about 10:30 on Wednesday morning.

They say the robber stole money after pointing a gun at the clerk.

He's seen on this surveillance video supplied by APD.

Anyone who can identify the robber is being asked to call the Akron Police Department's detective bureau at 330-375-2490.
