A 37-year-old man has been arrested for extortion after threatening a Summit County woman when demanding sexual acts and money through a social media site.

 

The Summit County Sheriff's Office reports the Dashawn Goins of Maple Heights threatened to notify the woman's family and friend about a pornographic website which contained photos of the victim. If she didn't want that to happen, deputies say Goins demanded that she perform specific sexual acts and give him $800. 

 

When deputies were notified of the problem, they monitored texts and phone calls between the victim and Dashawn. Deputies caught up to Dashawn when he asked to meet the victim in Northfield Center Township. 

 

Goins was arrested and charged with extortion and booked into the Summit County Jail. Further charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
