The mother and grandmother of the 16 year-old who died of a heroin overdose have been sentenced.

Judge Lynne Callahan ordered the mother, Heather Frye, and the grandmother, Brenda Frye, to spend 9 years each in prison for involuntary manslaughter.

During sentencing, Judge Callahan said that Heather Frye knew what she and her mother did to her son, Andrew Frye.

"You know the cycle that you've grown up in, at yet you're there in the hotel room having your son in the same cycle," Judge Callahan told Heather Frye.

Judge Callahan told Brenda Frye that she's just as responsible as her daughter

"You are every bit as culpable as your daughter. Every bit as culpable. There's not one thing you did that makes you less culpable," Judge Callahan said.

Both pled guilty to the charges against them, for their involvement with the death of Andrew in a Green hotel room back in April.
