A four-car crash left one person dead and several others injured in Ravenna Friday afternoon.
Troopers with the State Highway Patrol reports Curtis W. Williams, 67, of Kent, was not wearing a seat belt when he collided, head-on, with a vehicle after passing several cars while in the left turn only lane on SR 59. Williams' car struck the vehicle of Todd Fields, 47, of Akron, and then also struck two other vehicles.
Williams was pronounced dead on the scene. Police say Fields and two other were injured, but did not go to a hospital. Sarah Lavrich, 30, of Ravenna, was also driving one of the vehicles that was hit in the crash. Her one-year-old child was in the car with her. Both were taken to the hospital, but their injuries are not known.
The crash remains under investigation.
