SCSO Looking For Sneaker Green Sneaker Thief

The Summit County Sheriff's Office is looking for an armed robbery suspect they say held up a group of people who were meeting him to sell a pair of shoes. 

According to the report, back on November 1st, the Cordon Harris, 19, met an acquaintance and four other people to buy a pair of sneakers in the City of Green. When the group pulled up, Harris pulled a gun and demanded the shoes and whatever cash anyone was holding. He only got 10 dollars before fleeing the scene. 

The Sheriff's Office has obtained a warrant charging Harris with five counts of Aggravated Robbery and one count of Felonious Assault, as he allegedly hit one of the victims in the face. 

Harris is listed at 6'3", about 230 pounds and may be driving a 2002 Honda Civic.

APD: Suspected Bank Robber Arrested

Tuesday afternoon a man walked into the PNC Bank at 181 Massillon Road, armed with a knife, demanding money. He jumped the counter and proceeded down the line of tellers, taking money from each of the cash drawers and stuffing it into a backpack he was wearing on his chest. 

After the robbery, the suspect got into a black Chevy Malibu and drove away from the bank. 

Not too long after the robbery, Akron Police Officers spotted the Malibu pulling into a parking lot in the 500 block of Sherman Street. That's when they arrested 22-year-old Darrion L. Powers (pictured) of Akron, who is now charged with armed robbery and more. 

Addiitonally, Police Detectives charged Powers in connection to the January 4th robbery of the Huntington Bank on South Arlington Street. Both robberies played out the same. 

Powers has been booked in the Summit County Jail, and according to Akron Police Lt. Rick Edwards' press release, he's likely responsible for several other robberies in Cuyahoga Falls. So far he's charged with two counts of aggravated robbery.

Bank Robbery Suspect Turns Himself In

It wasn't long after Akron Police circulated his photo that Deandre L. Garrett, 26, turned himself in, they say. 

According to a police report, Garrett is alleged to have walked into the PNC Bank at 889 West Market Street last Friday just before 3 p.m., handed the teller a note demanding money, and walked out with cash. According to the report, Garrett made threats of a gun, but no gun was seen during the robbery. 

During the alleged robbery a very clear photo of Garrett was snapped. He turned himself in Monday. He's facing multiple charges.

Police Looking for Springfield Township Man

UPDATE Police arrested Marock Wednesday evening.

Springfield Township Police are looking for 55-year-old John Michael Marock. A warrant has been issued for Marock on on assault, robbery, burglary, and violation of a protection order charges. He's a white male, 6'2", 200 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and a black goatee. Police believe he may be in the Akron area and are asking to keep a look out and call 911 if you see him.

Akron Shooting Suspect Still Loose

Akron Police are looking for help for a suspect they say punched and then shot a man he was arguing with Saturday morning. 

It happened around 2 a.m. inside a home on West Crosier St. According to the police report, John R. Meeks, 28, was involved in an argument with the 41-year-old victim. It turned physical and Meeks allegedly punched the victim in the face. Then, police say, Meeks pulled out a handgun and shot the victim "several times" in the abdomen. Meeks then fled the season. 

The victim was later transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital with potential life-threatening injuries. There's been no update on the victim's status. 

Meeks is charged with aggravated robbery and felonious assault. Anyone with information on his whereabouts are asked to not approach him and to call 911 immediately.

Arrest Made In Palms Skill Robbery

Summit County Sheriff's Office caught up with and arrested John Richmond, who they suspect is the man robbed the Palms Skill Games on South Arlington in Coventry Township a couple of weeks ago.

Surveillance video shows a man kick open the door around 5:20 on December 7th and brandish a semi-automatic handgun with a laser-sight.

Richmond, from Uniontown, is charged with Aggravated Robbery. Detectives have recovered the cash and the pistol used in the robbery. Richmond is in Summit County Jail.

On December 7, 2016, at approximately 5:20 p.m., the Summit County Sheriff’s Office responded to an armed robbery at The Palms Skill Games, located at 2766 South Arlington Road in Coventry Township. A white male kicked open the front door and made entry into the business. The suspect was armed with a semiautomatic handgun equipped with a laser sight. The suspect ordered all the patrons inside to remain seated and he then ordered the cashier to give him cash or people would be killed. The Summit County Sheriff’s Detective Bureau conducted an investigation into the matter. Subsequently, the suspect in the investigation was identified as John E. Richmond, age 30 of Uniontown. On December 19, Richmond was arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery (F-1). He was booked into the Summit County Jail. The stolen cash and the handgun used in the robbery were recovered by detectives.

APD Looking For Aggravated Robbery Suspects

Akron Police are asking the public's help finding suspects in an Aggravated Robbery that happened earlier in October. 

According to police, on October 7, 2016, two men entered Bel Air Motors on Exchange St. One pulled out a gun and demanded money and then struck the victim over the head with the pistol and him several times. 

The two men got away with a couple thousand dollars in cash.
