An Akron man will get three-and-a-half years in prison after pleading guilty to felony meth charges.

25 year-old Nicholas Anton was arrested after Akron police were called to apartments on Kimlyn Circle in August - after reports that a one year-old child was walking alone in the complex and eating charcoal.

Police found a number of adults asleep in the apartment, along with a meth lab, some meth and syringes.

(Summit County Prosecutor's Office, news release) Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh announced today that Nicholas Anton, 25, of Mogadore Road in Akron, pled guilty to several charges in connection with making methamphetamines.

Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Todd McKenney immediately sentenced Anton to three-and-a-half years in prison.

Anton pled guilty to the following charges:

Illegal Assembly or Possession of Chemicals for the Manufacture of Drugs – a felony of the third degree
Aggravated Possession of Drugs – a felony of the fifth degree

Anton was arrested on August 2, 2015, after Akron Police were called to Kimlyn Circle Apartments for reports of a 1-year-old walking alone and eating charcoal. Officers arrived and found several adults asleep in the apartment, as well as a meth lab, a small amount of the drug and syringes.
