Sam and Brad caught up with Cavs' beat writer Joe Vardon to talk about his article in The Athletic chronicling the Cavaliers' demise.

 

Fox 8 sportscaster John Telich spoke with Sam Bourquin on Wednesday to talk about the Kyrie Irving/Isaiah Thomas trade between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics. 

The two teams open up the NBA season at the Q October 17. 

After six seasons, four all-star game appearances, three NBA Finals visits, and one championship, Kyrie Irving is now a member of the Boston Celtics.

John Michael, the play-by-play voice of the Cleveland Cavaliers, talked to the Ray Horner Morning Show about the Irving trade, with brought Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, and a future first round draft pick to town. Michael talked about the value the Cavs received from the pick, in that it addresses the need for another scoring point guard, a solid defender, and a pick for the future.

The voice of the Cavs also shared his thoughts on the falling out between Irving and LeBron James, how that relationship was beyond repair and needed a fix. Michael also addressed rumors on a potential buyout for Dwayne Wade with the Chicago Bulls, with many believing the aging shooting guard would head to Cleveland.

Brad Russell spoke with Sam Amico from Amico Hoops and Fox Sports Ohio to talk about the latest with Kyrie Irving and what direction the Cavs will go in as far as his possible replacement at point guard.

 

Brian Dulik from the Medina Gazette spoke with Sam and Brad to talk about Kyrie Irving asking the Cleveland Cavaliers for a trade.

 

On Sunday, the Cleveland Cavaliers took down the Oklahoma City Thunder, 115-92, but they did so without PG Kyrie Irving. The team informed the media he had "flu-like symptoms," but Irving was "freaked" out by the bed bugs in his hotel room and couldn't suit up.
