After an Ohio High School Athletic Association investigation into the Massillon Washington football program, the Tigers will be on probation for three years due to alleged recruiting violations.
Director of Commuications for the OHSAA, Tim Stried joined Brad Russell Monday to talk about the situation, what that means for the team, and head football coach Nate Moore.
He said the sanctions affect the school and the OHSAA and their interaction.
"Whenever a school's on probation, there's a heightened awareness that the school's had some violations, and there's an increase in communication between the OHSAA and the school," he said.
If the Tigers make the playoffs in 2016, Moore is suspended from coaching the team throughout the duration of the playoffs. The school is also facing a $5,000 fine and some of the penalties extend to some student-athletes as well.

One of the newest members of the sports team at FOX Sports made an appearance on a "Feel Good Friday" to talk about his new venture in broadcasting and discuss the NFL game today and how it differed from when he played.
Former Massillon Tiger, OSU Buckeye, and NFL linebacker and current FOX NFL and college football analyst Chris Spielman joined the Sam Bourquin Show to discuss moving on from ESPN and his time working in the booth with Sean McDonough.
"Anytime you get a chance to challenge yourself or do something new, it is exciting," Spielman said. "For me this year in 2016, I'm going to do all NFL games, and I've done some NFL preseason stuff in the past."
Chris and Sean teamed up for ESPN's college football broadcast and he says one of the cool things about working with Sean was their on-air chemistry and ability to let the broadcast "breathe." He says that their chemistry helped propel them to new heights, with Chris at FOX and Sean as the voice of Monday Night Football.
"I was a small part of him achieving a life-long goal and that felt good."
Chris also talked about the NFL game, and as a former linebacker with the Lions, Bills, and Browns, and he said that as a defensive player, they have to be able to adjust to the rules being geared towards the offensive side of the ball.
Two high school basketball coaching jobs are open in western Stark County, and both schools are looking to find quality leaders for both the Massillon Tigers and Perry Panthers boys' teams.
