For the Cleveland Cavaliers, the hard road to an NBA title has ended in celebration, and in their 46-year history, they have finally reached the top of the mountain.

Jim Donovan from Channel 3 Sports joined the Sam Bourquin Show to talk about how he felt last night when Kyrie Irving hit that 4th quarter shot, and how the raw emotion felt by fans all over Northeast Ohio and beyond has been one of the lasting memories from this championship run.

 "When that shot (from Kyrie) went in, it was real," Donovan said. "I felt 'This is actually going to happen.'

The Cavs came back from a 3-1 series deficit to defeat the Warriors in the best-of-seven series.

AUDIO Dambrot: LeBron A 'True Winner'

After 52 years of frustration, the Cleveland Cavaliers have captured the NBA title and have

University of Akron men's basketball coach Keith Dambrot joined the Sam Bourquin Show on a Victory Monday to talk about what the win meant for Northeast Ohio.

"This win was for the whole area," Dambrot said. "I mean it was for Akron, Cleveland, all the suburbs, and I think when you're from here, you really understand it."

He said he was happy for LeBron on many levels, saying he willed his team to win, despite not having his absolute best game, but his defensive presence and smart play led to a Game 7 win.
