AUDIO Steve King: Continuity Needed With Browns

As the Browns continue to stumble and have yet to win a game in 2017, one of the pieces of the front office will no longer be working with the team moving forward.

Steve King of Browns Daily Dose spoke with Sam and Brad to talk about the firing of Sashi Brown by the organization Thursday morning.

In a statement released by Browns Owner Jimmy Haslam, he thanked Sashi for his contributions and said that coach Hue Jackson will be returning to the team in 2018.

Reports: Manziel On The Way Out In Cleveland

One of the top executives with the Browns released a statement today on Johnny Manziel...and it could be the beginning of the end for Johnny's career in Cleveland, with his release apparently likely next month according to numerous reports.

Executive vice president of football operations Sashi Brown says they've "been clear about expectations" for all players both "on and off the field."

He goes on to say that "Johnny's involvement in incidents that run counter to those expectations undermines the hard work of his teammates and the reputation" of the organization.

There is still no official word on what will happen to Johnny, but Brown says that his status with the team "will be addressed when permitted by league rules."

Cleveland.com and ESPN reports that the Browns intend to release Manziel on March 9th, since they can't release him next week due to salary cap issue.

AUDIO: Trying To Make Sense Of Browns Moves

What is Jimmy Haslam thinking?

That's the question on the minds of Browns fans today in the wake of the expected firings of Browns head coach Mike Pettine and general manager Ray Farmer and the unexpected promotion of general counsel Sashi Brown to Executive Vice President of Football Operations with final say over the 53-man roster.

Jeff Schudel of The News-Herald and The Morning Journal and Ty Schalter of Bleacher Report both joined The Jasen Sokol Show to try to explain the promotion and the decision to hire a head coach before a general manager.
