AUDIO Blackledge Reflects On Saunders' Passing

The sports world was saddened and shocked to hear of the passing of John Saunders Wednesday morning and one of his former colleagues gave his perspective on the kind of person and professional he was.

ESPN/ABC football analyst Todd Blackledge discussed the passing of Saunders on the Sam Bourquin Show Wednesday afternoon to talk about his time working with John.

"He made me a better broadcaster," Blackledge said. "He was always so calm when there was craziness all around, and he was a great guy to work with and learn from."

Saunders passed away at the age of 61.  Blackledge and Saunders worked together on studio coverage of college football for ABC.

Blackledge also said Saunders was a good friend, a family man, and helping people in the broadcasting business including Todd, become more proficient at their job and become true professionals.
