David Gilbert, the President and CEO of the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission and Destination Cleveland joined Sam Bourquin and Brad Russell to talk about the biggest night in Cleveland Sports history tonight as the Cavaliers raise their championship banner and the Indians and Cubs start Game 1 of the World Series.

 

For about a half-century, Cleveland, Ohio seemed to be the butt of many jokes both locally and nationally. Well, that may have been the case until 2016, the summer when the Cavaliers hoisted up the Larry O’Brien trophy, and the Republican National Convention was handled quite smoothly.

Jennifer Kramer, the Senior Communications Manager at Destination Cleveland, joined the Ray Horner Morning Show to discuss the emotional and economical impact these events have had on the region. Jennifer said she does not have the hard data in as far as economic intake, but response seems to be quite positive, with many saying Cleveland should house more national events of this caliber.
