AUDIO Jackson Baseball Undefeated & Strong

The Jackson Polar Bears are rolling at 13-0 and with their experience on the diamond, they could be heading towards some big things this spring.

Head Coach of the Polar Bears Bill Gamble joined the Sam Bourquin Show Tuesday to talk about his club and what they've been doing as of late, and what they are looking to do moving forward.

The Polar Bears are coming off a 10-0 win over Aurora Monday, and with this year's team, there's a lot of strengths to discuss.

"We're throwing strikes,  we're throwing it well, and picking it, and getting off the field," Gamble says. "I think that's a big deal, even as the weather turns and everybody gets a little more of that baseball fever and the tournament nears, you still got to be able to throw and pick it."

Jackson returns 16 young men and they understand the concepts and the culture set by the coaching staff, according to Gamble.

"Guys are competing like heck for playing time, for starts, and it all starts with our competitive practices."

The Polar Bears will play McKinley this week before taking on Doug Miller's Canton Central Catholic team on Saturday.
