Police are investigating a dead body that was found in a garbage truck in Fairlawn on Saturday.

Cleveland.com reports, Fairlawn police said a Republic Waste worker found the dead body in his garbage truck and called police around 4 a.m.

The man called after making a pickup at the Fairlawn Shopping Center plaza on West Market Street.

There is no indication where the body came from, after the garbage man made stops in Tallmadge, Copley and Akron.

The medical examiner will release the identity of the person after their family is notified.
