A Mount Union student has been charged for an alleged rape on campus over the weekend.

The Alliance Review reports 23 year-old Felix Nshimiyimana of Raleigh, North Carolina was arrested just before 7:30 Sunday morning on a rape charge.

Alliance Police say the victim gave a verbal statement saying Nshimiyimana entered her dorm room without permission and forced himself onto her.

Nshimiyimana has been given a $250,000 bond and is currently in the Stark County Jail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 30 at 10:00 AM.
