Streetsboro School Bus Crash Probed

Streetsboro police say it was indeed a rear end crash that caused minor injuries to 18 students on three buses, who were on the way home from Streetsboro High School on Wednesday.

Police have identified the three drivers as 48 year-old Wande Templeton of Ravenna, 44 year-old Sherill Shaffer of Streetsboro and 52 year-old Petrina Twigger of Streetsboro.

But they don't say if or when charges will be filed, as the investigation continues.

Police do say that alcohol or drugs are -NOT- suspected in the crash.

Three Streetsboro school buses were involved in a crash Thursday afternoon that resulted in 18 students being injured.

Those injuries, including an injury to the bus driver, are not life-threatening.

Streetsboro Police say it happened at about 10 minutes until 3 PM on Page Road between Frost Road and Pike Parkway.

The students parents were notified. The cause of the crash is still being investigated.

(Streetsboro Police Department, news release) On 1-13-2016 at approximately 2:49 pm three Streetsboro City School buses were involved in a crash on Page Road in the area of 9874 Page, between Frost Road and Pike Parkway. The crash resulted in 1 driver and 18 students being transported to University Hospitals Portage with non-life threatening injuries. The injured were transported by Streetsboro, Aurora and Mantua Fire Departments. The parents were notified by the schools. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.

Canton paramedics say four children and one adult were hospitalized with what are being called "minor injuries" after a school bus crash.

NewsChannel 5 reports that the school bus and a pickup truck crashed at the intersection of 27th Street and Fletcher Avenue on Canton's Northeast side on Wednesday afternoon.

The school bus reportedly was transporting students from the "Our Lady of Peace" school in Canton.
