Akron Police are looking for two suspects they say robbed the Walgreen's Pharmacy on Copley Road last Saturday, December 31st, of one bottle of medication.

According to a police report, the two black males walked into the store located at 1303 Copley Road, and walked around for about an hour. One of the suspects made a purchase at the front of the store, and reportedly acted as a loookout as the second suspect jumped through the small pharmacy window at the back of the store. Once through, the second suspect pointed a spray bottle, filled with an unknown liquid, and threatened the pharmacist and technician, saying, "Don't move or I'll shoot you guys." The suspect then grabbed one bottle of an undisclosed medication and the two feld the scene. 

Police are looking for two black males who fled the scene in a white sedan, likely a Toyota, southbound on South Hawkins Avenue. Anyone with information is asked to call Akron Police. 

A new revision in Ohio state law made it possible for a vacant 92-year-old Akron bungalow to sell for $1 at a sheriff's sale last month. 

The Akron Beacon Journal reports that the home is the first to sell for so little in Summit County since the passage of House Bill 390 last summer. 

Under the new "fast-track foreclosure bill," vacant homes can now be sold for less than two-thirds their appraised value at public auctions in Ohio. The bill also decreases the time abandoned can be wrapped up in foreclosure lawsuits to as little as six months, in an effort to eliminate criminal activity or further deterioration. 

The winner of the auction on that $1 Akron home was Citizen's Bank, reportedly unchallenged by any other bidder. 

Rittman Police have arrested 42-year-old Freddie Kinder and charged him in a string of car thefts within the city of about 7,000 residents. 

Kinder, from Rittman, is charged with five counts of grand theft auto, possession of criminal tools, receiving stolen property, and possession of drug tools. He's reportedly a heroin user and had needles on him. 

Multiple tips pointed police to Kinder. Rittman Police Chief Ray Arcuri tells us that his own mother said it was likely Kinder. 

He was arrested after his fifth car theft on Thursday. 

NFL Week 10, 2016: After a loss to the Ravens, the reality of the Browns going 0-16 on the season, becoming only the second team to accomplish such a feat, became a chilling reality. 

Enter Chris McNeil, aka @Reflog_18 on Twitter. McNeil, on behalf of the city and Browns fans... we think... submits a request to the City to throw a parade Downtown if the Browns in fact go "defeated" for the year.  

The crowd-funded "Perfect 0-16 Parade" took off on social media and over the course of the next five weeks, raised roughly $8,000 on GoFundMe.com.

NFL Week 16, 2016: The San Diego Chargers, with 5 wins to their name in 2016, come to town to face the winless Browns in a Christmas Eve match-up for the ages. In front of a couple of thousand fans (give or take), the Browns pulled off the greatest miracle of 2016: They won a football game.

But what about the parade? Have the Browns let down their fans once again?

"NO," says McNeil! While the parade won't happen, the money that was raised (and the $2,000 + more in the week since the Browns first win) will be donated to the Cleveland Food Bank. 

Since that announcement, the Cleveland Browns, coming off of that first win, have announced that they will match the money that's been raised and donate that to the Food Bank as well! 

So while there is no parade to celebrate(?) the Browns sub-par season, a lot of people who need help are going to benefit. 

Kudos to McNeil, the Browns, and all of the fans who donated to make it happen. 

Ohio State Highway Patrol reporting a fatal accident early Wednesday morning, about 3:30, along Bell Road in Medina.

Michael Kelly, 21, of Creston, Ohio was killed when the BMW he was driving went off the road. His passenger, 20-year-old Dylon Woody was injured and transported to Wooster Community Hospital. The extent of his injuries is unknown.

According to the report, no other vehicles were involved in the deadly crash. Investigators say alcohol was a factor in the accident. 

The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland announcing this morning that Bishop Richard Lennon has been granted early retirement status from Pope Francis from the Vatican. Lennon has served as Bishop of the Diocese of Cleveland for the past 11 and a half years. 

In a press conference late Wednesday morning, Bishop Lennon announced that he had recently been diagnosed with vascular dimentia. He stated that due to the progressive nature of the disease, he would be unable to continue his work as Bishop of the Diocese of Cleveland. 

The mandatory retirement age for bishops in the U.S. is 75. Bishop Lennon is 69, but his health has been failing over the past few years. He reportedly sent a letter to Pope Francis back in November to address the issue and the Pope has granted him early retirement.

The Pope has appointed Bishop Daniel Edward Thomas of Toledo as Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Cleveland, that covers Medina, Summit, and Wayne Counties. The search for a permanent replacement is underway.

Demetrius Ford, 18, of Akron has been sentenced to 8 years in prison for burning his four-month-old daughter. 

Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh announcing the sentence Tuesday, saying, "This innocent child suffered significant, painful injuries. She will have to deal with the physical and emotional scars for the rest of her life." The child suffered multiple broken ribs and a skull fracture in addition to third degree burns. 

Court reports indicate the child suffered the injuries while Ford was giving the young girl a bath. The girl's mother, 21-year-old Chavelle Grier was also charged in the case. Back in May Grier pled guilty to two counts of Child Endangering. She's currently serving probation. Ford was found guilty for Felonious assault and two counts of Child Endangering. 

Akron Police are asking for the public's help in finding the suspect or suspects who shot a man on Monday afternoon. 

It happened on Ericcson Avenue in Akron Monday just before 3 p.m. The 25-year-old victim, whose name has not been released, was apparently involved in a verbal altercation with a group of other men. He was transported to Akron City Hospital where he later passed away. 

No suspect information has been released and police say once an official autopsy is complete and family is notified, the victim's name will be released. 

Police asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to come forward with information. The investigation is ongoing. 

Akron Police are looking for a man they say robbed the Family Video located at 1117 South Arlington Road Wenesday night around 10:30. 

Employees reported to police that the man walked into the store and demanded money. When the employees didn't move fast enough, they say the suspect pulled out a gun and demanded the cash from the registers again. One clerk opened the registers and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled the scene. 

The suspect, a black male between 25 and 30-years-old, was caught on surveillance video.
