Ohio Supreme Court Considers Bail Reform

The Ohio Supreme Court is considering changing the rules that govern how criminal defendants can get out of jail on bail, while they are waiting for trial. 

Jeanne Destro talked to ACLU Attorney Claire Chevrier, who is advocating for a change in the bail rules, as well as retired University of Akron Law Professor, and Akron Bar Association member, Dean Carro, about what that could mean for our community.

New Fitness Program for AMHA Housing Residents

A new fitness program designed to help improve cardiac health, as well as emotional well-being, is underway now at Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority buildings citywide.
