AUDIO Tee it Up Tuesday: Valleaire Golf Club

On this week's edition of Tee it Up Tuesday, Brad Russell decided to head over to Hinckley and check out the Valleaire Golf Club.

Cindy Cole, GM of the golf club joined Brad Russell to talk about the course, how it is not only pleasing to the eye, but also challenging as a public course.

One of the signature holes on the course is 18, complete with the pond to add to its aesthetics.

"The scenic view that you get with the pond and the clubhouse in view, it's quite a beautiful hole," she said. 

The course was founded by the Knights of Columbus in the 60's.

For this week's edition of Tee it Up Tuesday, Brad went down to the valley to take a hack at Brandywine Country Club on Akron-Peninsula Road.

Alex Marshall joined Brad Russell to talk about the course, the history, and some of the amenities surrounding it.

 "We have 18 holes it's a championship course with our back 9 dug into the Cuyahoga Valley," Marshall said. 

Riverwoods is located on 5555 Akron-Peninsula Road, part of the 2016 Players Golf Card.

AUDIO Tee It Up Tuesday: Skyland Golf Course

On this week's edition of Tee it Up Tuesday, Brad spoke with Rich Rhodes of Skyland Golf Course in Hinckley.

Rhodes says the welcoming atmosphere and challenging course are a delight for both the serious golfer as well as someone who is just trying out the game.

AUDIO Brad Tees It Up At The Firestone 9

This week on a Tee it Up Tuesday, Brad decided to take a hack at the Raymond C. Firestone Public 9 and play a couple of holes.

Golf pro and General Manager Dan Dauk spoke with Brad about the course, it's history, and some of the amenities that make this course a winner for local golfers who want to try their luck.

With the weather being a challenge early on, Dauk says that maintaining the course has been a top priority.

"Our standards are very high, our greens are pefect, our rough is lush, and we're very fortunate to have the same crew that maintains Firestone Country Club working on our course."

He says the course is a challenge for everyone from the scratch golfer to the person who is just trying to get into golf, and with the course being as challenging as it is, with great views, as a par 35, it can make for a competitive round.

 "It's a lot of fun, and if you haven't played, I certainly invite you to come on out here and play," he said. 

The course is part of the 2016 Players Golf Card.  The Firestone Public Course is located on 600 Swartz Road in Akron, just a stone's throw away from Firestone Country Club and the South Course, where they play the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational. AUDIO Brad Visits Loyal Oak

This week, Brad decided to make his way out to Norton to visit Loyal Oak Golf Course for the latest edition of Tee it Up Tuesday.

Dan Sutter, the manager at Loyal Oak says the course prides itself on treating people that come in like they are family.

"It's a family-owned course, since 1963," Sutter said. "We have openings on the weekends that are open for tournaments, and you can still play in a league during the week if possible."

Loyal Oak Golf course is located on South Cleveland-Massillon Road in Norton and is also very involved in developing golfers at the youth level.

Sutter said that by getting the youngsters involved in the game early, it gives them a rewarding sense of spreading the love and appreciation of the game.
