After their defeat of Streetsboro Monday night, the Barberton Lady Magics basketball team is looking to do even bigger things on the hardwood the rest of the season.
Head coach of the Lady Magics Greg Whitmer joined the Sam Bourquin Show Tuesday to talk about that win and the young ladies that make the team go.
"It was a good night, our kids played hard, and after they made some adjustments we went out there and came out with a victory," Whitmer said.
The team is now 8-8 on the season with 6 more games to go.
Some young players have contributed for the Magics this season, sophomores Macy Ries and Jenna Kelley.
Barberton will have 9 days off before their next game and coach Whitmer says on the practice floor, they will get back to basics and work on some fundamentals and teaching moments.
"Hopefully it's going to be a blessing in disguise and we'll come out of here healthy and energized," he says.
