AUDIO Carter Hawkins Talking Tribe, Prospects

Written by

The Cleveland Indians are looking to make a postseason push, and the key to any successful baseball organization is a solid farm system that develops prospects in hopes of them making an impact with the big league club.

Carter Hawkins, Cleveland Indians Director of Player Development joined myself and Brad Russell live from Progressive Field Tuesday to talk about the Indians prospects coming up as well as the day-to-day operations of the player development staff.

"It's been busy from a logistical standpoint, just making sure our rosters are filled at the minor league level, but it's been worth it,  we've been doing well with our player development making sure our guys are prepared and ready to help out at the major league level."

As the Indians continue to make that postseason push, they will be without Abraham Almonte for the postseason,  so they are going to have to look within their development system to fill that gap.
