AUDIO Mt. Union Reloading Yet Again

Written by

After yet another Division III national title, the Mt. Union Purple Raiders are ready to go again in 2016.

Head football coach Vince Kehres joined the Sam Bourquin Show on Tuesday to talk about his squad coming back this season and how those young players are looking to make an impact this season.

Kehres said the skill positions are solid with former St. Vincent-St. Mary standout Jordan Hargrove at receiver, along with Tim Kennedy from Hudson, also at wideout. He also pointed to running backs Bradley Mitchell and Jamal Johnson, from New Philadelphia as some difference-makers as well.

The Purple Raiders will scrimmage against Washington and Jefferson before opening up the season against North Carolina Wesleyan on September 10 in North Carolina.
