The season is just around the corner, the pads are going to pop, and the Firestone Falcons are getting ready for St. Vincent-St Mary in week 1.
Our own Brad Russell caught up with Firestone head coach Eric Mitchell before the season to talk about his goals and expectations in 2016.
"We have playmakers on offense, we want to get our kids in space, and defensively we want to get after people, and we want to put our kids in the best position to make some plays for us."
Some of the young men looking to do some big things in 2016 include Zuriel Sanders and Demonte Swain, among others, who were All-City selections in 2015.
The Firestone Falcons will begin the non-conference slate with the Fighting Irish in Week 1, Copley in Week 2, Norwayne in Week 3 before starting city play against the Garfield Golden Rams.
