Cathy Rudolph was living in her Long Island home when she, like millions of others, fell in love with the talents of comedic actor Paul Lynde. But unlike the vast majority of those viewers, she made it a point to meet the man and create a friendship in the years before his untimely demise in 1982.

WAKR's Tony Mazur talked in-depth with Cathy Rudolph, author of the book Paul Lynde: A Biography; His Life, His Loves & His Laughter. Cathy and Tony went back and fourth about Paul's early life and career, his long and entertaining tenure on Hollywood Squares, his struggles with alcohol and sexuality throughout the 1970s, and why he felt his career never took off the way he imagined.

Paul is a native of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and he is buried just north of the town on the Lynde family plot.

Paul Lynde - A Biography is available on Amazon, Kindle, and wherever one buys their books.
