Coventry High School senior football quarterback Jaret Skaggs is the WAKR Male Student Athlete of the Week for November 21st-November 27th.

Jaret had a remarkable year for the 5-5 Comets, as he tossed 30 touchdown passes with only 7 interceptions while throwing for 2414 yards. As a junior, Skaggs throw for 2,000 yards and 24 touchdowns.

"It has been fun, a good group of friends and players," said Skaggs.

Jaret is a three-sport athlete at Coventry while maintaining an impressive GPA at 3.2, Skaggs participates in football, basketball, and track for the Comets.

"We have a terrific group of athletes in the school right now, I'm now getting ready for basketball," said Skaggs.

Jaret plans on a career in education, with the hopes of becoming a teacher and coach in the future. He has yet to make his college choice at this time, but would like to continue to play football in college.

In the final game of the 2015 season Skaggs tossed five touchdown passes for 329 yards, as he was 25 for 35.

In addition to his football skills, Skaggs is also the sixth man on the basketball team.
