This Friday's Wager of the Day centers around the prop bets surrounding Sunday's Big Game.

The first Akron Rubberducks Hot Stove Banquet has come to the beautiful Hilton Garden Inn in Akron, and a familiar name in baseball circles in Northeast Ohio will be the keynote speaker at tonight's event.

Former Cleveland Indians second baseman Carlos Baerga spoke with Sam and Brad about tonight's event and the Indians' run to Game 7 of the World Series.

Carlos talked with the guys about his love of baseball and the event going on tonight with the Rubberducks.

Adam Liberman, director of Public and Media Relations for the Akron Rubberducks joined Sam and Brad ahead of the first Rubberducks Hot Stove Banquet at the Hilton Garden Inn.

 Former Indians great Carlos Baerga will be the keynote speaker at tonight's event.

Also, Rubberducks GM Jim Pfander stopped by to talk about tonight's event and how the team is connecting with the community away from the diamond.

"With the weather that's going on outside, what better time to come in and talk about a great baseball season here coming up," Pfander said.

Sam and Brad caught up with former 10-year NFL veteran Tim Dwight to talk about the big matchup Sunday between the Falcons and Patriots.

Dwight played for both teams during his career and had a 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown against the Broncos his rookie year in football's biggest game.

Griffin Baumoel of Canton Central Catholic talked with Sam and Brad about his commitment to serve his country and play football for the United States Naval Academy.

 Griffin was part of the team that won the State Championship for the Crusaders this year in Division V.

National signing day is here and various players from the area made their commitment to play college football and continue their education.

D'Amonte King of STVM spoke with Sam and Brad Wednesday about his commitment to the University of Toledo.

Donte Taylor Jr, also of St. Vincent-St Mary joined the Sam and Brad Show to talk about his commitment to Miami (OH). 

Taylor converted from quarterback to cornerback during his time at STVM. He will play in the defensive backfield for the RedHawks in 2017.

Sam and Brad's Wager of the Day for Monday ended in a three-way tie.

Today's wager centers around both the Ohio State/Maryland basketball game, (a game you can hear on 1590 WAKR), and the Northern Illinois/Akron game.

We will see how the tie gets broken!

Former New England Patriots WR Troy Brown spoke with Sam and Brad Tuesday to talk about Sunday's big game, the "Patriot Way" and  some of his best memories of playing in football's biggest game.

 Brown won 3 rings in 15 seasons with the Patriots.

Cleveland Indians beat writer Paul Hoynes joined Sam and Brad to talk about the 2019 MLB All-Star Game coming to the city for the first time since 1997.

The news was reported earlier Thursday and the team is expected to hold a press conference Friday morning regarding the news.  We'll carry it live on 1590 WAKR.
