AUDIO: 1590 WAKR Student Athlete of the Week: Abigail Butler

Our female Student Athlete of the Week is Abigail Butler from Lake High School for the week of April 22-29.

Abigail is a multi-sport athlete, and participates in sports all year round. In the fall, it's volleyball, wintertime is basketball, and right now it's softball. She spoke highly of her softball experiences.

We're becoming more of a team, more of a unit this year," Abigail said. "Everything's just clocking, and it's going pretty good."

At Lake, Abigail has been taking mostly AP classes, and has four years of Spanish under her belt. After high school, she plans on heading out of town to study either sports medicine or physical therapy. Abigail is contemplating going to the University of Kentucky, or a smaller school like Ashland or Eastern Michigan.

In her free time, Abigail enjoys hanging out with friends, going to the movies, or playing board games with her siblings.
