1590 WAKR Student Athlete of the Week: Joe Pavlak

Wadsworth senior swimmer Joe Pavlak is the WAKR Male Student Athlete of the Week for December 16th-December 23rd.
Joe has been selected as a High School Heisman Trophy finalist for his great work in the tanks, classroom and the community. Pavlak finds out this month if he will receive the national award.
"It was really something as I just started filling out some papers, I applied and then I kept getting word that I was advancing through the process, pretty cool" said Pavlak.
Joe is a member of Wadsworth High School's Student Council and a member of the National honor Society. He will look to get into Pre-Med once he goes to college.
"My family has a good history in medicine so it is something I really want to do" said Pavlak.
Pavlak is a four year member of the swim team at Wadsworth and races in the breast stroke. He finished in the top eight in the state as a junior and looks to improve on that this spring. He is a three time All-Suburban League selection.
Joe is a lifeguard at the Wadsworth YMCA
